Love to hang out with my best friend!! ~open to all chickens, turkeys, waterfowl and peafowl!~ end d

Me too, me too!

*Catagory: Chicken
*Name of Bird: Tootsie
*Breed and Age and Gender of Bird* Now 3 Year old Buff Orpington Rooster
*What makes them Special* I bought Tootsie as a 3 month old. When I went to get him and his siblings, it was dark, so I couldn't see them very well. I brought them home, and the next morning I was handling them and getting them used to me, and I realized that one of them was getting picked on really bad. Upon closer inspection I found out that it was missing an eye! I went on to start babying that one and helping it to find food, etc. Well, I started calling it Toot sweet, which got shortened to Tootsie. I soon found out that it was a cockeral, but I loved him by that point too much to send him away. He had starting sitting on my shoulders while I was doing chores, and whatnot. One winter I got a foot injury (friend's horse reared and came down on it) and had to wear a plastic boot and use crutches. So I couldn't take care of the birds. So my brother did it, and brought Tootsie to visit me in the driveway (I couldn't go to the coop because of the ice). I trained Tootsie to walk on a leash, which has become a tradition with my BO's here! I just love him and could go on for hours!

A pic of Tootsie in his scraggly-looking, younger years!

Tootsie mostly grown up, trying to woo the ladies...

Another good shot, kind of show his missing eye.

Category: Chicken
Name: Sparrow Hawk
Ameraucana/Cockerel/3 months
I used to take him out of the coop and hold him and feed him watermelon and yogurt. He would very greedily eat it. He also liked to just rest in my lap or sit next to me and crow. I just loved that little guy.
This I had to pick two chickens :) Any who thease two are the winners! Please PM me with the # of drawing you would prefer and where you would like me to send it ! Great job guys!

*Category* Turkeys
*Name of bird* Barney
*Breed, age, and gender of bird* Barney is a Broadbreasted Bronze turkey, he is 1 1/2 years old, and is a gorgeous tom.
*What makes them special* Barney is a big ol' sweetheart. :) Although he's a bit slower than the other turkeys and birds on the farm, he is always right up at the front of the flock to greet me. He hits his head against my leg when I have watermelon or grapes, because they're his favorite. I know he won't be around much longer, but I cherish him while he's here. Barney is also very goofy, and is constantly 'running' in terror from my bantam rooster.
