"LOVE YOU FOREVER"...a childs book

I love this book!

I hated Guess How Much I Love You, to me it seemed like it made love into a competition. For me, Love You Forever sums up how a parent feels about their children. No matter how old they are, how hostile and ugly the teenager is, how frustrating parenting can be; in the end, love is what it is all about.

Guess I'm odd because that book creeped me out. I don't like the Giving Tree either because of that rotten, selfish kid.

Absolutely loved Love you forever. Maybe it's got more real world in it than a child expects but that's good too. After all when all is said and done the real world is where they are released. I hate the kid in the Giving Tree as well but I think it's also a great book with a hard reflection on how we treat the world around us. You may have hated it but you remember it too! :)

I love that book! The first time I read it was when I worked at a daycare center with the babies. The last page or two was missing and it took me at least two years to find that book again to read the ending! I swear that book makes me cry when I read it..lol

The first time I ever heard/read Love You Forever, I was in a class at University of Alabama...it was a Family Studies class...and the professor read the book to the class. Not too many dry eyes in the room! It left a huge impression on me, so when I had my first child, a son, I bought that book to read to him. He is now 12, and I have the pleasure of reading it to my 2 yr old! But, his favorite is Hush Little Baby by Sylvia Long! Instead of daddy buying baby everything, momma shows baby all these beautiful things in nature. Fabulous!!
