WOW, well we already had two Plymouth rock hens when Elvis arrived. Funny how the new Plymouth rock bonded with the other two same as her right away,
and Elvis sleeps at night right in the middle of the girls he brought with and the two ones we had (Laverne and Shirley) and all so far seem to be content.
Funny thing though....he makes this sound sometimes when he is out walking around like a growl. No one is near him, he just growls. Cracks me up.

How did the chicken cross the road?

why??
well we let them out today it was because the hens were becoming feather less on there backs from them

And needless to say what came first right? And how to hens lay fertile eggs when they do not have sex? I am so confused honestly. Where is the bird and the bees course? I must have missed it.

Exactly my question!! OH my gosh really laughing out loud now, spitting soda on my keyboard. Really almost 66 years old and I do not know the real facts of life
or at least CHICKEN life? Fill me in. Wait maybe I am better off in the dark?

XD Okay, hens do NOT need a rooster to lay eggs but they DO to lay fertile eggs. The rooster will mount the hen if he is old enough to know what his job is.
