Hi there, love this site, on it all the time, have learned so much from everybody
When I first got my chickens I didn't realise how much I would get into it. Was up all last night on the thread about purple eggs.
I will be moving soon to a 5 acre property where I can start breeding my hens and 1 rooster, I'm really into getting different coloured eggs, the thought excites me!
I've heard many different ideas on breeding and need to know what age the hens should be before I can breed them.... some say young, some say not before a year old, I'm so confused, what are other peoples experiences with breeding and age?
