Loveshatchingchicks

I've only hatched twice but I used the Brinsea incubator that's pretty automatic and incubates 7 eggs. Had really good results both hatches. Only had to keep the level in the water reservoir up.

No doubt there are cheaper ways. Or better ways to hatch more eggs. But for someone inexperienced having all the "oops!-es" factored out was helpful and reassuring.

Hi. I borrowed a friend incubator that hatches about 2 dozen... I just put my third batch in which is about 14 eggs...I had 7 the first batch and got 3 chicks but mine just started laying about a month ago so alot weren't fertile..My second batch just started hatching today. Her incubator helped a lot but the humidity is broke on it and it isn't very accurate temp wise either..I actually removed the eggs about 3 days before the hatch date and put them under a heat lamp and it's turning out to be a better deal..I'll have to get a new one of my own....But it's fun except the anxiety is a killer near hatch time!! LOL

Whoa! You're going for broke! Instant flock!

You must have a lot more space than I do. I started with 3 and after 3 years I'm up to 12 and trying to figure out how to back off to about 8. But then I'm in very urban Los Angeles.

Well, good luck with it! I hope you get some interesting birds, some interesting eggs and have a good time doing it!
