I joined the chickens craze in March. My first two chickens were New Hampshire hens named Cora & Nina, for Corona Virus.
I have six chickens now. Two silkies, one Easter egger and one olive egger (neither actually turned out as advertised- they both lay tan eggs).
Both of my adult sons have chickens, as well. I love that it is something we can do together. We also enjoy shooting sports, hunting, fishing and cooking.
I live in a rural area, so, my having chickens, goats, dogs and a cat is nothing out of the ordinary. Fortunately, they all get along well. We have a happy home!
I am forever grateful for the advice and support given by all of the backyard chicken family. I learned about the group from my son.
