I have 13 of them both Royal Palms and Naragansett`s. 3 of which are toms. They are so social they spend hours sitting on my lap. The photos below are a few who got there first and the rest spent tim either trying to get up with them or just rested behind my head or on the ground at my feet. I love that they follow me everywhere I go. They even fly out of the trees in the morning and come straight to my slider window door of my bedroom every day to wake me. Would love to see your pictures of your babies with you. Have a wonderful day

I've got 3 Royal Palms that are 12 wks old now. I know 1 is a male but not sure on the other 2. Mine are flippin' adorable! Just like yours. I'll see if my daughter will take a picture later. They clamber on my lap and lay their heads on my shoulder and snuggle and go to sleep. I just LOVE them! Who'd have thought turkeys would be so cool?? They're in an 8'x8' pen right now but we've got a 20'x25' turkey pen staked out and ready to get to work on. I'm hoping so bad I have 1 male and 2 girls. Only one struts and has the bright red neck and bumps on his neck.

Thank you guys for sharing. Grumpy and his family are lovely! And Mine are in a pen that is 40x40 or more, it does keep them in during the day but they fly into the tallest tree at night and come to the slider window next to my bed in the am when they fly down. So cool to have a wake up call of them pecking the window each morning, but they just follow me into the pen each day and hang out there with my 17 hens and 2 roosters. They seem not to even ruffle a feather at the chickens. I look forward to seeing more pictures from the friends here. You all have a wonderful day:ya

How cute! I have two turkey hens that like to be petted but not picked up. I was suprised at how sweet these turkeys are after hearing 'horror stories' from others about turkeys.

Love the pictures of the palms , I had two but they died last week ? not sure why or what happened ? but the others are doing great , four bronze and two Naragansetts , and I'm looking at getting some sweet grass as well and maybe some spanish ? Beautiful pictures though , they look so content on your lap

We have 3 Royal Palm also - all hens. We had 5 to start with but 2 died and we haven't figured out exactly why. The other 3 are looking great and I'm surprised by their temperaments! We started of with 1 Tom but he was never very nice and he made me kind of afraid of Turkey's in general. Well, my husband was out of town for a week and I had to take care of ALL the Turkey's (there are also 2 hens that are brown, I'm not sure what breed they are and 1 Bourbon Tom, he's beautiful, brown & white and always nice!) and compared to the Royal Palms, all the others are much less social! They even started coming up to me but not yet ready to get petted (but maybe it's just me being a little afraid still).

Is there any way to get a grown Tom to "behave" a little better? Otherwise, one of my boots just might go missing LOL *j/k*
