Loving the sand bath

it's amazing how much sand a tire can hold so when you place it, do it thinking of where it will live forever - ours took 4 sandbags that were over 50 lbs each to fill the insides and up to the top - I mixed in the poultry dust every few inches when we poured it in - glad the beach was great - any pics?

Sure I can dig some up. Wife was the only one who brought her camera mine stayed at home. I'll gladly copy them off her computer and over to my camera's card. It will give me a chance to look at them all anyway. I'm willing to bet they are all dog photos. It was a nice 81 and the surf temp was 79 on the 30th.

Ok the beach day was mostly about getting sand for this project, but hey my girls deserved some fun too. This is the place I call my beach it is officially called Boca Chica State Park. Brownsvile traffic barely irritated me there and back too, and that was a very unexpected bonus! I got about 120 lbs of sand into the Coleman cooler before we left which was all my wife and I could lift up into the back of our Jeep. Enjoy my wife's photos of "the Three Amigas" this is our pack of rescue dogs who have a permanent home with us. The largest our pack ever gets is 6 due to occasional fosters for "Journey North". I figured we broke even on the sand to gas ratio as we managed 2.4 bags worth and at lowes they are $3.65 each, the math seems right enough to me

Yep that is an empty beach and I didn't even need to pull a Governor Christi to get it.

That is me showing off a bit of leg, pretty clear who my wife loves more here as my head and upper torso are gone.

There they go riding off into an imaginary sunset(in my mind).

thank you so much for sharing - you and your wife are my kind of people! I have rescue dogs too - one looks like your black and tan - I'd say everyone made out well from your trip and if you have to make another to get more sand - I can't imagine any complaints -
