I'm James. I live in Homer, IL...which is about 20 miles east of Champaign-Ubrana...which is about 150 miles south of Chicago. I lived in Champaign for 25 years and just recently moved. I am loving the small town life (Champaign has become Urban Hell for me).
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
--New! First chicks come in April 22!
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
--Zero...expecting 5.
(3) What breeds do you have?
--all Buff Orpingtons
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
--Now I am enjoying building the coop
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
--Gardening, TV, dogs, hiking, kayaking.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
--I have a super-senior dachound named Skippy and I work in IT.
