Low 54 tonight

Hi am in Az the weather says low 54 I have 6week old chickens should they be fine with our light or heat?

Oh yeah they air the wind is bad tonight it’s been like that all day the wicked winds of the west lol

i was always cold when I was there one good thing about Az it pretty much stay nice out here but can drop down this is my frist time raising chickens

Hello, I'm in AZ. also, but I'm down near Phoenix in the valley area. Your 6 week old chick's should do ok as long as they are already fully feathered and have a place to get out of the wind. Other than that, they will huddle together through the night.

cool am going to leave them in just the coop for a few days and then open the run for them in the day and then at night close it up

That should do it. Is the run predator proof? They are still small at that age, and many could be attracted to them. What breed's do you have, and how many?

oh yes very Predator proof I have 4 isa brown and 2 silver lace Wyandotte
