Low cost easy build coop

Due to my wife's illness I am looking for any idea's on a home made low cost chicken coop. and maybe buld a cedar fence around it. Any idea's? what about a raised dog house?? Thank you for your time. Mike

That would work great! If you can get your hands on some you can also use the wood from pallets. A lot of the time company's will just give them to you I they don't have to return them to the shipper. If you get a chance google "Chicken houses made from pallets" & you can get loads of ideas from there. Best of luck to you, your wife & chickens.

I agree, pallets are amazing. We've made alot of things from the wood from them. The best advice I can give you is get a reciprocating saw (sawzall) to disassemble the pallets. Pulling them apart by hand is not only a pain in the arse, but you tend to not be able to get as many boards of in one piece
