Low fertility in my hatching eggs PROBLEM?

Long story.

Head BLRW rooster 2 yrs. old this May. When he only had 5 BLRW hens fertility high. 80%

Added 13 Assorted colors Wyandotte hens to the flock. 30%

I kept one of his BLRW sons that is now 9 mos. old. The younger BLRW cockerel has 2 little Colombian ladies that he grew up with that are his friends and he does breed them. The older rooster wont let the younger cockerel near his flock of 16 hens!!!! (A few Silverlaced, white, and many a pretty BLRW) Needless to say the older guy cant do all his lovely ladies.

The whole flock share a coop and an acre of fenced field so plenty of moving around room for all. No major cock fights.

I have a growing pen with a tractor set up and would like some of my BLRW hens to get bred & hopefully fertilize some eggs. Problem?? Which lucky guy to put in the tractor with 3 or 4 BLRW hens? The young cockerel who has never had a chance to even bat an eye at the lovlies!

OR THE MAIN honcho rooster?? (who used to breed them all the time but is now in love with only a few of the younger ladies!)

If I use the young guy will the hens breed with him????

If I use Honcho Rooster does the young cockerel stand a chance of taking over the main flock??? Don't need major fighting with the boys afterwards.

I would put the older rooster in with the 3 or 4 hens as he has a good chance of breeding them succesfully. I would let the younger rooster go with the big group of hens, he will probably jump at the chance. If oldie isn't doing his job, it's time for the youngin to get his chance.
