Low pip

I ended up with three chicks. I did not have high expectations since I just put a few eggs in the incubator from some that a friend gave me to eat. I don't even know what kind they are. The low pipper is the chipmunk marked one. He/she is still having a little trouble walking. One leg seems like it was curled in the egg too long. Hopefully it will get better with time.

It is hard to see in the picture but her right leg stays behind her. Sort of like if I stood with one foot in front of the other. I did some research and I am guessing it is some sort of spladdle leg. I have hobbled her legs with a rubber band but it just makes her fall a lot??

I have used a pipe cleaner with a small bandage around the pipe cleaner and the leg. This is the best time to fix these things within the first few days. It's hard to tell from the pic. Is it eating and drinking ok? Good luck...
