I'm running my "Mini 7 Eggs Digital Incubator Temperature Control Chicken Duck Goose Egg Incubator Automatic Egg Incubator" dry but the RH is 50%. Is there any way I can get it down it 30% RH? Would putting a soda lid with rise in it help absorb some of the humidity?

Have you checked the meter with another good working meter? Have you checked the humidity in the room its in? Rice will bring it down for a while----not sure how much a drink cap will bring it down?

Yes, i did the salt test and my meter is off by 11%, and because i can calibrate it i just add 11% on what it show. I'm getting a digital one very soon so it's more correct.. The RH of the room is about 35% to 40%, and its the only room that i can keep the eggs in. And thank you i will try the rice and add more or less when needed. I'm glade i got a response so quick, thanks:)

So you are saying---now that if it reads 39%, you add the 11% which makes it 50%? Are you using this same meter to check your room humidity?

Yes, and yes. I was using two but they showed different readings so now I'm using one. When it's in the incubator it reads 50% to 60% which is really 60% to 70% and when it's out of the incubator it reads 20% to 30% which is really 30% to 40%.

Well hurry up and get another meter---LOL, to many variables with this--well I do not even want to guess why it is so high without water??
