Alrighty guys I just joined and this is my first post!
My name is Davis and I'm a beginner poultry raiser starting with three chicks and two ducklings! I'm going to be constantly researching and most likely asking tons of questions to make sure I'm doing things correctly! It would be awesome to get advice on housing ducks and chickens together, seasonal temperature change preperations and any other West Texas experience in keeping animals safe from predators.

I'm originally from Amarillo, congrats on your new hobby! I'm starting this year too. I have 9 EE pullets and two mixed breed roos but they haven't started crowing yet. Do you know what you'll do to address the cold winters?

Well my grandfather offered to help insulate the inside so it will keep the winds from coming in the cracks of the coop but what I'm mostly worried over is what I'm going to do with the water in my pond for the ducks.
