I must be very lucky. We have a batch of "cornish roasters" from McMurray. we got 25 and only 4 died at age 2 weeks just flopped over "dead" no other problems

All of the others are now 4 weeks old and no issues. They are not even eating huge amounts and there is food still left over in the morning!

Wish me luck for the next 5 weeks......

Well, I'm not sure how to say this, and I hate to bring bad news, but if you've lost 4 out of 25, that's a 16% loss by week two, which actually is pretty high. I usually expect less than 10% loss at butcher time of 8 weeks. If this is your first batch of them, and you're happy, then don't worry about it- also, you mentioned food being left over in the morning. You may want to consider taking their food away for 12 hours a day. You probably will find that when feeding 24 hours straight, there will be food left in the morning, because they don't eat in the dark. However, most people take the food away for at least 12 hours per day, because they just don't need all that food- it raises your costs, and is a big factor in your birds dying early.
Good luck!

I have 10 cornish and haven't lost a single one yet... they're five weeks old today. I was planning on losing up to two. I feed them twice a day plus they go without a light at night. They're a bit on the big side and have to slow down if they're gonna be right for the county fair.
