Lump in neck?? Child’s pet Brahma

Our Buff Brahma pullet has developed this soft, squishy lump in her throat in the past 24 hours. I have no idea what it is.

Details: She is 3.5 months old, from Meyer Hatchery, lives in a small coop with her same age sisters, and was free ranging in our woods and yard last night. Have not yet seen other symptoms.

Located in North Georgia/north Atlanta suburbs in Gwinnett. Experienced chicken parent, but in 20 years and many birds have never seen this.

She belongs to my 11 year old autistic child who is VERY attached and has raised her since one day old. Willing to take her to a vet if needed, have provided lots of chicken care at home before as well.

Can't really see anything in the picture. Have you looked in her mouth and throat? If she's behaving normally, eating, drinking, pooping normally, I'd be inclined to take a watch and wait approach. See if it goes down, gets worse, resolves, etc.
