Lump on stomach

A lady found this little chick running around the streets alone about a week ago. She did not want it, so we took it in and it has been doing well until now. Today I noticed that the chick has a lump on her lower stomach near one of her legs. I'm not sure how long the lump has been present, and did not notice it when we first got her. Otherwise she seems healthy. Eating, drinking, running around, ect.
I'm not sure how easy it is to make out in the pictures, as her fluff is in the way. This is the best I could get.

Is the said bump filled with air? Or is it filled with puss?

I'm not sure. It seems to be under the skin. It's somewhat hard when I touch it though.

Sounds more like puss than air if it was hard when you touched it. This is not for a queasy person, but if you aren't, then grab a needle and poke a small hole in the bump. Squeeze out all the puss and repeat as needed. Make sure to have a steady hand when poking the bump, you don't want to poke something else and end up hurting the little one!

The biddie is too close to the camera for a good picture.

If the lump is on the biddies right hand side about even with the breast and not between or below the legs then it sounds very much like your chick has a craw or crop full of food. Put the chick in a dark and quite place overnight and see if the size of the lump decreases as the food in the crop is digested and passed. When the chick again pigs out at the feed bowl monitor the lump and see if it will magically grow.

I'll try to get some better quality pictures in the morning. The lump is on the left side near her left leg, between her legs. I thought it might be the crop at first, but it's much lower down than where the crop would reach.

It's hard to know what that is.
If you can get better photos it would be good. Give us one of the chick standing naturally too, if you can get her to stand still

Since she is eating/drinking, running around, I would be in no hurry to cut into that at all. You have a little time to figure out what's going on.

For some reason it is smaller today. Almost so small that you can't feel it. We shaved the area the best we could and tried to get a better picture.

I'll get one of her standing normally when I get the chance.

Does the lump feel like it's filled with air?

If it is reducing in size, I would just watch it for a few more days to see what happens especially if she is eating/drinking, pooping and active.
