Does anyone know what this lump could be above our roosters eye? He’s acting normally and doesn’t seem sick but I’m worried if it’s an infection it’ll spread. Any tips would be helpful!

Is the area soft like air under the skin or firm? A tumor or injury to an air sac could cause that type of swelling. Has there been any others with a respiratory infection or disease, or have any new birds been added to the flock in recent weeks?

Did you just discover this lump today? Or have you watched it get larger over time?

If the lump is rock hard, it's likely a tumor. If it's soft and spongy, it may be a local infection or insect bite.

Many years ago, I had a Brahma hen that began to grow a lump over her eye in what appears to be the same general area as your rooster's. Over a number of years, it grew larger and larger until it made her blind in that eye. Then it began to cause torticollis and her head would not remain in a normal position. When her head turned upside down she could no longer eat on her own and I had to euthanize her. She was just shy of fourteen years when I had to end it.
