I’m so sorry to hear this. I had a hen with egg yolk peritonitis who later received hormone implants. The first one got her about five months, but I am very sorry to share she died just a few days after the second implant. She had gotten quite thin and was gurgling like a respiratory infection. (She was always a bit fragile since the original EYP, which brought her close to death.)
I would baby her. Make things extra comfortable for her. My girl died when we were in a record breaking heat wave. If it is super cold where you are, I would bring her in. They feel lousy for a few days after the implants. Does this help at all? I really want to help, as mibe was a tragic loss. After all that care (and expense) I’m sure you want go give her her best chance. I will tell you this. DO NOT WET HER. That’s what ultimately killed my girl, who was terribly delicate, due to my inexperience.
