I decided to introduce myself after lurking on your site for a year...
.
We got six leghorn chicks about a year and a half ago, my husband built them a coop, and we got eggs! Sadly, a neighbor's dog got one chicken this spring
. We got six more Isa Browns last March, and received a gift of six more mixed-up chicks in June. The mixed-up chicks hadn't been sexed, apparently they were a school science project, so now we have four roosters! I'm trying to give 3 away.
Anyway, we live in Michigan, on an acre and a half out in the country, and have one kid still living at home, and one super adorable grandbaby, who is going to be the best chicken farmer in the country. He's 2, and can pretty much catch any chicken in the pen!
Thanks for being here and giving us advice!
