Luxury Coop; King of Queens

My chickadees have a sandbox. They'll dust bathe in it, and eat the sand for grit. It's definitely the popular spot in my run. I also planted some grass in my actual coop, with chicken wire covering it. As the grass grows, the chickens eat it down, and have green most everyday. Besides that my chickens have... err, doors, nest boxes, and roosts.

I call them bells and whistles.....lol the one we just bought has auto door, outlet inside for heated waterer, a wire floor system that comes out and you can put shavings undernieth, or leave them out and just have litter. It has big rommy nest boxes with hinges that hold lid open, it has a plug to connect coop to extension cord and came with light on roof in coop area, we also had a feeder built into the wall that has its own small shingle roof so you can fill feed outside, will hold an entire bag of laying pellets. Then we have a run enclosed with a motion light so if they are out at night the pen light goes on. also has wood and glass windows that open to wire mesh, and a shutter type window vent on back that is just for added ventalation. The coop is draft free with felt seals on all doors and windows so if I want I can unscrew the bulb on ceiling and put a brooder bulb in and brood chicks in it as well. So if thats what you mean, I have all the gadgets. I also had him put tile on the floor thats under the wire panels. Oh,and I cant forget the flower boxes that my daughter planted tomatoes in.....lol not my choice of plants but she likes it. The guy that builds these is truly amazing. I got every option I could get. My husband bought a motorcycle, used the cost of my coop to justify him buying a bike.....lol
