Lying first eggs

I have some new chickens that are just staring to lay however the eggs are very small,will they get any bigger . They are not small chickens so was expecting the same size eggs as my leghorns.

It takes time. Large fowl lay tiny eggs for awhile. They'll get larger as time goes on. It is nature's way of easing them into it.

thanks for that. I still have 4 more chickens waiting to start laying so was worried they were all going to be little eggs. The leghorns ladies were already laying when I got them so did not see their first eggs. Val.
