Mabel.

what is the bulge? It is a full crop? Does it feel watery? Is it like an air sac?
Honestly, I don’t know. I thought it was her crop at first but I’m not so sure. It’s off to the side, kind of between her wing and neck? It does seem to get bigger after she’s eaten/had a drink so maybe that’s it? Or I’m imagining things. It seemed to be the size of her head, I first noticed it when I had to bathe her.

Mabel passed away in my arms tonight.

Rest In Peace baby, you will be very missed.

I can’t stop crying, but at least she’s no longer in pain.
I'm so sorry about your Mabel. She seemed like a little sweetie.
You did everything possible for her and she brought joy and your imagination to fruition. The best part is, she passed away in your arms feeling safe and secure by your gentle heart of caring.
It's crazy how one lil chick can touch the heart and bring tears of sadness to our eyes. Bury her and plant flowers on her.

Thank you. And that’s the plan, just trying to decide what flowers.
I'm sorry for your loss. I'm sure Mabel knew she was loved. Hugs. :hugs
Thank you.
I'm so sorry. Thank you for caring for her and letting her feel loved, however short her life was. ❤️
Seems crazy I only had her for a short time, it felt like forever. I had a cage ready for her in my room for when the other chicks went outside.

I am so sorry for your loss. I am truly in awe of your ingenuity in that situation. Mabel had the happiest life she could have because of you. You are an angel for taking the time to do that for her. I’m sitting here teary eyed...may she Rest In Peace.

I’m finally starting to accept that she’s really gone, which has been hard considering how much time she needed everyday.

Picked up three chicks I had been waiting for today which helped lighten the mood a bit.
