So sad Madam one of my chickens just died in my arms - Im having a little cry & will miss her tomorrow when I open the coop. She was my only White Sussexs and a lovely looking chicken with lovely big white eggs.
She was always escaping and going off with Dutchess my Black Copper Maran for a forage outside their 50 ft pen sometime Moreen one of my Welsomers would also go to - but normally it would be the terible two now just the terible one - Dutchess was out all by herself early like she was looking for Madame. She even came up to the house to see, she never really come's so close - we had Madame in with us trying to help her.
My one hope is that Ive put some eggs in a brooder and they are eight days away from hatching, I hope one of them is her's (I think I have two of her's!!).
