So after reading this I did "run through the rain" with my own daughter. We "ran" to the nearest lake and I actually jumped in with her. I wasn't scared to have my legs touch the creepy underwater weeds this time, I acted like a child again and didn't let that bother me. I didn't even care that I got my hair wet. We swam and laughed and splashed. She was soo happy. I was too!!
