There is a dose for aspirin, and meloxicam from the vet would be better. Can you check there? I don't know the dosage for either, and it's by weight, so let them know about what she weighs.

OK. So Penny's wound was caused by what we suspect a dog bite. Her wound is to the side of her vent and her skin has been torn down to above her thigh. We didn't suspect anything was wrong with her until we saw a change in her behavior and we noticed a fly disappear into her feathers. After rinsing with the shower nozzle we plucked off as many maggots as we could but today I saw one more. After using the peroxide to flush the wound out 6 more maggots literally fell from her body! Can you recommend anything we can give her for pain?I use it for flushing all types of wounds except wounds near the eyes and ears, and I have used it to clean flystrike wounds too.
Yes I will begin to weigh her. Is there a "power" food or foods you can suggest to help her get her strength back, she sometimes appears to be a little weak and walks with a slight limp.May I suggest that you start weighing her daily on a food or postal scale and watch for weight loss?
Scrambled eggs! That's a good basic power food.Yes I will begin to weigh her. Is there a "power" food or foods you can suggest to help her get her strength back, she sometimes appears to be a little weak and walks with a slight limp.
Yes we do have a vet. We are trying our best first. Today I'm just keeping her wound sprayed with Vetericyn and used a Qtip to slather on the Neosporin. I've decided to give her a rest from washing the wound with water. What do you think? Should I rinse with saline or wait until tomorrow? By the way she's eating, she had mill worms, fresh fish, blueberries, feed and scratch mix. I'm giving her Pedialite and the "ROPA" just arrived so I will also supplement her water with that.Is a vet an option?
This is the dose for aspirin from Plumbs Veterinary Drug Handbook:
"Avian:
a) 5 grams in 250 mL of water as sole water source (Clubb 1986)
Note: Because of the significant hydrolysis that will occur, this
solution should be freshly prepared every 12 hours if stored at
room temperature or every 4 days if kept refrigerated at 5° C."
If bleeding is an issue, aspirin should not be used, it will thin the blood.
I honestly don't usually do pain meds, kind of feel that some pain helps to self limit activity and let them rest and heal. I would be more concerned about infection.
I would feed her what she will eat, most of them like scrambled or chopped cooked egg. Nutri-drench can help with appetite many times. I would do as suggested and weigh her to monitor, it's much more accurate in keeping tabs on her intake and how she's doing day to day.

The evidence of blood dried around the perimeter of the skin. The skin is loose and literally hanging just behind her back thigh. Today I'm spraying her with Vetericyn and applied the Neosporin. I wasn't going to use the saline wash but I don't know if I shouldn't? Will you tell me what you think? I'm spending most of the day with her, observing for any more maggots. (So far, so good!) Can there possibly be more if I haven't seen them? She has been eating, blueberries, mill worms, fresh raw fish, feed, and scratch. Oh and she's preening at this very second! I don't think she likes the goopey Neo ointment. I ordered ROPA and it just arrived. Have you heard/used the product? This is the dose for aspirin from Plumbs Veterinary Drug Handbook:
