My new duck house is finally completed, and finally over and in position!
it's 8ftx8ft, about 10 feet tall LOL, it's a cute little house LOL, but deffenatly LOOKED bigger when we were working on it.
but it'll do it's job.
the front, the door will be in the pen.
the back, facing the woods, it has a nifty winder!
the inside, with 6,,nest...boxes??, they wern't made quite how I thought they'd be, but eh, if they use em, they use em, if they don't, they don't LOL.('Rina says she will lay HER eggs in there LOL)
the house sits about 8 feet from the fence, so what we're gonna do next week, is that whole fence is gonne come out to the edge of the front wall, so the front wall will be completly even with the fence, and the pen will be 8ft bigger!.
then, i'm going to take poultry mesh and make a "wall" to seperate the mallards from the bigger ducks, call ducks and such, in a few weeks,the bigger ducks will get the side of the pen with the house, and the pen gate, so i can leave that open and they can go in and out to freerange, I wanna build the mallards another version of their old "house", maybe abit bigger.
