I appreciated 6+ auctions when all I had was my Brinsea MiniAdvance 'bator. Getting 8 or 9 eggs in that "+" would make me anxious... So I got a second MiniAdvance... And then the octagon20s after awhile. But those small auctions cater to folks with small capacity incubators.

OK someone with half a brain needs to come fix my Sportman. I have 12 Bev Davis FBCMs from shipped eggs and 4 more from my BD flock, plus 5 more from my Prestley/Valentine flock, plus some AM x Games. I have fill bators and a hatch date for tomorrow. I have another hatch due the 11th. I think I've gotten carried away. Not to mention I have 4 new brooders set up now, because I've been a hatching full.

I need support group!

I now have 7 Blacks and 2 Lavenders from my CRYSTALCREEK hatch. 21 days is 5 hours from now. I still have more pips, and am hoping for more Lavenders.

For those of y'all that don't know, Kathy will scold any and everybody who can't keep their curious little fingers out of the incubator. And she has great hatches so I think she must be onto something !!!!

Let me tell ya ....
This was rather recently... I tested the theory, by being complacent and careless. I opened the bator and pulled out chicks a few times. The results were disastrous. I lost 12 fully developed chicks, that had pipped and then died. It just made me sick. I was so stupid to do that.

DO NOT OPEN THE BATOR !

sorry i have not been on for a while to update just a few minutes ago the 23rd egg finally hatched but not sure if it will make it it looks weak and can not seem to be able to get off its back with out help and at one point his legs shook like it was having a seizer here are picks of the 23rd chick and the 22 that are in the bin that i am going to use to transport them to my cousins in just a few hours since i hatched them for her but i think i will keep 4 of them lol that means my husband needs to get to work on the new coop lol
