I've been stalking nest boxes all morning. I'm shipping a dozen of my turken crosses to 2 different people for this hatch. I finally got Marge the indecisive turken hen's egg. That girl will go in one nest box, act like she's going to lay an egg for 20 minutes or so then decide to use a different nest box. I finally watched her lay her egg (there was already 2 other eggs in there) then she proceeded to start to play "the shell game" with it where she'd reach down move everything around then lay back down. Repeat. I finally reached in and just took the darned thing before I lost track of it. I got the major stink eye. Probably should have warmed my hands up a bit before doing it.

Hmmmm...... I think I'm allergic to this forum. Every time I come on here I get an itching to buy more eggs.

6 of my darkest B/B/S Cuckoo Marans eggs

and/or (mix and match, winner's choice)

6 B/B/S Cuckoo Olive Egger F1s eggs (Ameraucana x Marans cross, blue eggs, but should hatch green egg layers)

(Both of these have the chance of throwing gold to the pullets as well)

Well I am setting Midget Whites and Blue Slates for the Easter egg hatch today. I think I have 13 but I am waiting until this evening.

I have four hens in the next boxes waiting for them to lay so I can put them in a carton for Laree...

She may have to make one more trip down here before next Saturday... or me a trip up there if she wants more.

What day should I mail out eggs for the Easter hatch? We are setting on a Saturday. So mail out on Thursday? Or Wednesday?
