You mean the Octagon Eco 20? It says 24 hen eggs... but some of us have tetris skills

Ok you have 29. Hmmm.... now to figure out how many people are sending me through the March swaps.... I am dying to bid on an auction but I don't know how many I am getting. It's torture I tell ya!

Well, 'bel' outbid me in the final minute for revolutionmama's eggs.

Just as well, I'm looking forward to Kathy's surprises and I should have to stack... much.

I know Daisy has stacked hers too and gotten more in... but it's a really tight fit. Also remember once they start to hatch it's going to get realllly crowded in there, but of course all won't develop.

I ended up with the below but it was still incredibly tight once the hatching began:

It's snowed 4 days since I've been back...

Was on call last night and got very little sleep... trying to decide whether I'm going to go see the Augusta Symphony Orchestra (one of my employees plays clarinet)\\ tonight or sleep.

Boyfriend built me an insulated seed starting cage today in the basement... no idea when it'll be warm enough outside to put seeds out, our "frost free date" is June 1st.

Just checking in. This afternoon I returned my spoiled emu to the breeder

and brought home three more!

We decided that it was better for her to have the one chick that is used to being alone than for me to have 2 two-day olds and a three week old. So I'll miss the little dude, but for the immediate future this will work better for both of us. I'll have another few weeks before I have to worry about permanent outdoor housing and they can all move together.

We are guessing 1 boy and 2 girls in this trio but who knows?

I hope she keeps reading my blog so she can stay in touch with the goats!

I want to learn that trick. Now I have to order more eggs. Practice makes perfect right?

BTW.... Anyone else use the "Chicken Trackin" system? I think mine is broken. It's totally going against the chicken math you guys have taught me here.
