They will only be this way for a day or so more. If I don't hear about the sportmans

or I will be building another incubator.

Umm, I am not a 100% how many are in it. The ones marked with the green E's are for the Easter hatch. Except I didn't do the duck eggs.

Okay, I'm finally ready to update:

I have a handful in the rcom on the 2nd floor- I use blocks of wood to put the egg tray in atop the divider so I can use two levels and the bottom level still rolls freely on the conveyor platform. That way I only have to hand turn the top level. There are eggs from the 19th in here already, so not many are set today.

Then I have 2 LGs and a Hovabator set from the 27th that had a little room along the side and on top of banty eggs, so I got some stacking in two of those there:

Some of those eggs are terribly bloody because I have one Isabel F1 who keeps having trouble...I'm worried about her.

And finally, I am not hatching anything at this moment, so I used my hatcher, every square millimeter of it, to set the rest, because RevolutionMama changed her plans and I couldn't hijack her Sportsman...

I think I shouldn't have mentioned I thought I'd do that without checking with her...busted!

Anyway, my totals for setting are, by breed:

15 Paint Ameraucana project
6 French Black Copper Marans
10 Coro Sea X Raraku
7 Silkies (under broody Silkie, naturally)
6 Bantam Cochins
6 Partridge Chanteclers
6 Seramas
4 Blue Orps
49 Isabel Orpington Project
11 d'Uccles
5 Nikkei/Mapuche/Quetero

That makes a grand total of 123 eggs. I have suggested to hubby that all going average, I may be willing to turn off the incubators for a bit after this. I'm not sure if I'll get enough good Paint Ameraucana hatches to do that, but I'll agree to turn off all but the RCom, and only hatch the Paints and the fuzzies, anyway.

...I think...I mean, I can try, right??

OK I went on an Olive Egger hunt. She always hides her eggs.

I found one! I'm up to 20. This one is actually clean. She usually lays them in the mud or poop!

I have 16 minutes left. Yeah!

OH.....I need to get to the bank. Gonna set these now.

I have some loose egg cells, and so I will be lifting the ends of the incubator with a 2x4 (flat side.)

Renee, a search didn't yield much..................... do you have a thread somewhere about your paint Ameraucanas?

I haven't started a thread yet- I've not shared much about this project until this week. I have several Black Paint hens and a couple of Blue Paint hens in the project, with a Blue Paint roo covering them, plus a Black Blehm roo today. I have been working on this for a bit. The Blue Paints have red bellies like a robin, over the white, so it's a bit hard to determine if I want to continue with that feature separately or try to eliminate it...

There are a few pics on post 2704 of this thread, and if you want to enter the 'Flapper Contest' the prize is a 6-pack of these project eggs!

I suppose it's time to start a thread about this to get input from folks...after I get some building done this afternoon! Must go enjoy sunshine!

Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!
