I feel for you, lots of construction at work and I lost the "lottery" ( I had been working there for 18 years) and had to give up my parking pass and park in a dirt--Mud most of the time- lot up a steep hill. One morning just walking down the hill by the time I got the bottom and couldn't bear any weight on knee. Did the rest route and it did get some what better until I was pushing a round bale ( about 500#) of hay to my horses and hear the POP. finally had to have surgery- twice. I very hope that you can get away with rest and rehab.

I candled my duck eggs. Speaking of duck eggs, I have some I need to put in.

It's supposed to snow here on Friday. My broody chicken is in the hen house, but the broody duck is out in the open and her mate won't let us near her. What can I do?

Debi, is she under any type of shelter?? Or can you make a simple tarp lean to type thing over her???? My geese refuse to go into their nice shelter I made them. When they were 4 weeks old they busted through the wire gate I made to lock them in their house to go sleep outside. They have slept outside ever since and through 2 snow storms. They will not no matter what go into their shelter. So I have just learned to not fight them and I let them sleep outside in their pen. They are in a nice pen that is pretty much predator proof so I don't worry about something getting them. I don't know how to make your broody move????? I hate it when the silly birds are so persistent and they choose a wide open spot!!!
