LOL My roos crow at 3am every morning, because that's what time I get home from work, which makes the dogs bark, and the roos crow at the dogs. My neighbors LOVE me!

One of my NYD cockerels is really starting to practice his crow. (during the day only like any respectable roo

) and it is hysterical to listen to. It sounds like Robin Williams in Mrs. Doubtfire when he sticks his face in the pie or cake and says Hellooooooooo. It is the "ooooooo" part that it sounds like. DH thinks it is pretty funny too.

Good Morning Easter Hatchers!!
Daily countdown time!

We have made it 9 days and we have 12 days to go

3am? Mine crow every ten minutes or so it seems! My brahma roos ound slike an owl though, a proper 'twoodle-ooooh' sound, funny one he is.

Hope SteveH and Mahonri are feeling a bit better today, hard to get excited about anything when you hurt (I have experience there, have damaged nerves in arm for last 7 years, ouchy.)

I was actually outside the other night (morning?) at 3:20 getting ready to go to a sale and the roosters were crowing as they do sometimes. But being outside, I could also hear coyotes, and the roosters seemed to be responding to the coyotes. They would howl and the roosters would crow, silence for a minute, then repeat. It may have been coincidental, but it didn't sound like it.

Goodmornin' dsgard. I was worn out, and fell asleep in my chair, waiting for the severe storm that never materialized. [I'm grateful for both the sleep and the apparent breakup of the stormline. It was only a few miles away, according to radar, when I must have dozed off; looks like it hardly even sprinkled here. I hope everyone else had as good of night as I did. It went from 90 degrees to a more seasonable 47; I'm not a lover of hot weather, so I'm not unhappy with the return of more normal spring temperatures.]

Congrats on the apparent abundence of Brahma pullets................... it's nice to catch break like that every once-in-a-while.
