Mahonri's 2nd Annual BYC EASTER HATCH. Post pics of your chicks!

I didn't even think about joining until AFTER I paid for them. I was looking on the calendar and checking to see when they would hatch and realized I could join!

I'm in Casa Grande. We first moved here 9 years ago. We moved back almost 2 and while its grown a lot, not much has changed. We still have that grocery store down town that's like taking 10 steps back in town, the little taco joint across from the high school (not a school anymore). We finally have a movie theater that has padded seats, real step up from metal folding chairs. lol. But I love it here. I don't have a neighbors for 1 mile radius. But, my closest is a dairy farm....mmmmm....cow smell, gotta love it

Today I placed my egg orders and will be getting 12+ Cuckoo Marans, 12-18 Salmon Faverolles and 6+ White Face Black Spanish eggs. I will begin collecting my own eggs tomorrow. I have a few newer French Black Copper Marans layers that are laying nice dark eggs. I hatched them from eggs I got from Mahonri last year. And hopefully the Polish are generous with me. I'm very excited about this hatch.

I grew up about 45 minutes south of DC... sounds like you're enjoying the trip. Not sure of your age, but if you're a horror movie buff, don't forget to go into Georgetown and see the Exorcist steps! The Holocaust museum is also one that should be seen. There is so much to see in that area!

Good morning Mahonri!
Today is supposed to be the one decent weather day we are supposed to have all week. Only Hopefully that means that we can get some flights done. Hope your DD feels better today. Not much going on here right now. Just trying to wake up,

and then start getting ready for work.

No neighbors for a mile sounds really nice!

Wow 10 days! G'mornin dsqard and y'alls.

Roos are crowing and jumpin' the hens as they come out of the coop into the run, I've gotta get out and get them some feed.

Two long days ahead of me, first patient is coming from Apache Junction so I've got to be there before he gets there...
