Who else ordered eggs from me? I took a whole bunch of boxes to the PO today- I think I took one from almost every coop! That's a bunch of boxes...like 14 or 15...

CR, I think it was SteveH who mentioned using "plastic canvas". It's a craft item found in Hobby Lobby or Michael's around here. It's plastic and you can connect the parts, whatever size fits your bator, with zip ties. Someone else, I think maybe CrystalCreek, uses the large suet cages/baskets that you can purchase at Lowes, Home Depot or any place that carries bird feeding supplies. These may be good alternatives for you instead of the hardward cloth.

I actually used the files I had from the silver work I used to do. LOL
You can get a small pack of files cheap at a hardware store. I cut them as close as I could and then filed I can slide my hand across and no problem with the edges. Now the rest of it. Sometimes you hit a rough stop. Doesn't take much work at all. Just a few swipes, but only file in one direction or you're be filing through the wire you want whole.
