My bator is emptied, cleaned and ready to be plugged in for the Easter Hatch.

It is official. All my eggs are on their way. With the old fashioned mail service from Denver to here I am sure I won't see them until Thurs. but the weather is supposed to be good so I hope they all make it in good condition!

I won't know a for sure number until I see how many extras were sent, but I have 18 BBS Marans coming from Nancy (Bargain) and a dozen coming from Muggsmaggee of Ameraucanas and a few surprises.

I'm hoping that most of my eggs will be winging their way to AZ tonight or tomorrow at the latest.

Yes! I am offering a piece of jewerly. Geeze I didnt know I had to pick a contest. LOL My brain is still not fully functioning from everything going on lately. I will try to come up with something, unless anyone has any ideas.

Perfect. If no one is doing a funniest picture contest I'll do that and offer one of my jewelry pieces as a prize. Winner can choose which one they want. Which ever week you want to put me down for will be fine. Thank you for the suggestion. I really appreciate it.

Well, just in case anyone is looking, I candled the sebbie eggs last night. 9 eggs were sent, 3 eggs were destroyed in shipment. 3 of the 6 eggs have definite webbing, I think the other 3 are clear at this point. I didn't candle the turkey eggs yet.

Okay- I've decided. I'm going to offer a 6-pack of the Paint Ameraucana project to the funniest captioned chicken picture during the first week of the hatchalong. The pic does not have to be yours, but you do have to have permission to use it and give the photographer and chicken owner credit if it's not your own.

I will make a poll on the Saturday one week into the hatchalong around noon, listing all of the entries and allow all of BYC to vote on the winner.

It's now official!!

I'll think about running another for the remaining 2 weeks of the hatchalong using other breeds...let's see how Dar feels about me doing more than one.

Oh, crud! I just saw you guys talking about a funniest pic contest...I take it back!

I'll come up with a different one...great minds thinking alike at the same time...sheesh!!

I think your contest would be a lot of fun too!
