Dar- I know you are a trendsetter and all, but I am going to have to call shenanigans on "confinement".
It makes me think of unfortunate subjegated wives, forced to wear huge dresses with bustles and bows and draperies to hide the fact they are "increasing".
Goodness forbid a woman have to be pregnant to produce an heir.

Not really. I have a huge, 600+ chicken egg Kuhl cabinet. I just pop the eggs in and then write on the side of the incubator with dry erase marker, when they come out, to go into lockdown. For example:
Then I just take them out and put them into one of my three, "hatchers". My hatchers are 2 hovabator genesis', and a homemade jobber. Goes alot smoother than you might think.
I just bought a sportsman and this is what I am planning on doing. The bottom of the sportsman was hard to clean (in the back) and so it would be much easier to just hatch in my homemade jobbies. Much easier to clean!!!!
I have a W/BW Ameraucana broody! She has not moved from the nesting box and keeps sitting on freshly laid eggs. I'm thinking of moving some of my eggs out to her for lockdown!
