Nope. Walked by the bator about an hour ago, heard peeping. thought I was delusional.

Looked in....of the eggs marked to hatch on the 6th, 4 have pips. SHAWEET.

My bator needs to be cleaned. Debit card number being stolen stopped me in my tracks. I gotta get some eggs now that it is all resolved. I want more Ameraucana eggs.

Mahonri, since I already won the beautiful ring from NoseyChickens, I would like to defer my second place GFM to the member with the next closet guess who doesn't already have a GFM! I hate to put extra work on the contest crew but I would like to see someone get it who doesn't have it already.

Here is the ring with the pink pressed flower that I chose. I am going to give it to my granddaughter to celebrate her orientation to high school. She is somewhat of a fashion icon at her middle school with skinny jeans, unmatched tennies, and a bright blue stripe in her hair. She will love the ring! The hatch was fun, except the cheating part, (Mahonri)

and the organizers were awesome!

So here is the deal...

SCG won the "How many Chicks will Mahonri Hatch?" contest.

I hatched 45, she guessed 48.

So she deferred to 2nd place, The Warden, who guessed 49, and guess the exact first 3 breeds (3 Icelandics... all from her eggs too!)

So The Warden has deferred to the 3rd place winner unless they already have a GFM or Platinum membership then it goes to 4th, 5th, 6th etc...

So 3rd place is dsqard who also guessed 49 but only got 1 of the first three breeds right,, BUT as luck would have it, dsqard is already a GFM, so on to 4th place...

So 4th place is lamike who guessed 50... lamike does not have a GFM

SO, CONGRATULATIONS TO lamike as the winner of "How Many Chicks will Mahonri Hatch?"

KVMOMMY and COUNTRYGIRL911!!!!!!!!!!!!

I forgot to mark your eggs, so letting you both know here. Both of you get the following:

FBCMs The lighter eggs are from my Prestley/Valentine lines the dark ones are from my Bev Davis flock. They are pure Davis lines and the flock was bought for me by my husband from someone who got his birds as chicks from Bev.

Green eggs are from my Olive Egger under a Prestley/Valentine roo. Not sure what the color of eggs these are going to lay, but the roo came from a #8 egg.

Pink eggs are from my EE under the same FBCM roo.

kvmommy also has white eggs.

These are the FBCM x Games. These are becoming some of my favorite chicks. Same roo is over them. Some of us have been getting cocoa brown chicks with the same markings as the FBCM chicks. They should be really good layers and able to deal with heat. They should also be great broodies. Trust me that my Games are some of my sweetest birds. Not sure if the Gaminess is past to the roos later on, but the ones I have now are wussies.

BTW it will be hard to tell them apart until they all feather out. Pierre has really strong genes and all the chicks tend to look like FBCM chicks until then.

I might as well confess now.

I got to the PO and only had one box at home, so when I get there I realize I hadn't brought the shredded paper I spent 3 hours (time includes about an hour of working out 2 bad paper jams) so............I sent of the box for countrygirl911, grabbed boxes and ran back with the next 3 boxes I needed to send out. While I was filling out the slip for kvmommy I realized I was about to put my name and address in the wrong spot. I was trying to get back home to pack the other boxes and when I realized what I was about to do I told the clerk to please find my other package. He did and I told him I needed another label. Filled it out and he was like "HUH?" Then he looked and saw. I had addressed the first box to myself. Thank GOD I realized and got it fixed.

Never did that before.
