Mahonri's 3rd Annual, BYC Easter Hatch-a-long!

Dar, hang in there and remember these rules:

#1 - Boil water!
#2 - Have lots of clean white sheets ready!
and
#3 - My wife says to have some "Just Born" milk available in case the mama's milk doesn't come in right away.

I've forgotten the rest, maybe someone else can help us out here...

RELAX!!!!! If things are progressing don't worry too much. If they stop and you get worried call a vet.

Take and post lots of pictures.

We have lots of clean towels.

We have warm water to wash them if needed.

I'm fairly certain that her milk is ready to go... she is HUGE

I believe there are lots of videos on helping pregnant dogs and whelping stuff on youtube, ....maybe those would help? I do know much about dogs whelping, Never really helped mine out...they just kinda did it themselves. I do know that they give birth to one pup about every hour, so it's gona be a long night for you.........Hope all goes well!

Took pictures and noticed the camera still had pictures in it from when we went to the local wildlife rehabilitation center, which is about 3 lots away from us. So these are our neighborhood friends... all of these pictures were taken by my 11 year old son, so kudos to him.

This is where racoons belong! In cages!

foxes are cute in cages too. However, this is why fences and foxes don't work well together:

thankfully, their cages are covered!

Only place I can see one of these:

Critter Creek also has a quite a few cats; the domestics (mountain lion, bobcats) and internationals which people smuggled into the state and then couldn't keep them, or hide them well enough. Sadly, those pictures didn't turn out so well.
I think, since we live close to all of these animals, our predator population is kept low, the smell of the mountain lion probably keeps many other wild cats away. But we have had a fox, skunk and raccoon visits.
Hope you enjoyed!
