I actually miss tule fog.....................

I love the atmospheric Tule fog... but I hate how it carries mold spores which hurt my head. We did a stint of living at the coast and in August when the fog would start rolling in, I'd start thinking Christmas cuz growing up in the valley, fog meant winter holidays. Thankfully I never put the lights on the house in August.

Got to say, of all the places I've lived, I like living here in the foothills bestest.

I used to live on Grand Parkway... between Blue Mound Road and Wisconsin Avenue and between 68th and 70th Streets in Wauwatosa... when I attended MUSOD.
My wife is a dental assistant. I know many grads from MUSOD. It seems like that is where the majority of dentists in the area went to school.

I would love some Hambars! I love the name... Hambar. It is fun to just say it. "HAMMMMMMMM BAR!"

I LOVE the Welsummer ones too, I think even better, because I love Wellies. I have 2 pullets, and I plan to get more sometime this year.

Daron and all,

Thinking over coffee.......... (autosexing breeds)

Formula for a Gold Legbar changed to formula for a Hambar.

We haven't had much snow this winter but we did have 100 mile an hour winds Wednesday.. Luckily we didn't lose any shingles on the house, the fence is still standing and the barn wasn't fazed a bit.. unfortunately it did pop up our old tent trailer and shred it..

Gosh. Ditto. I had always referred to myself (to others) as "a coastal kinda gal" but I'm starting to stutter when uttering those words. (Relocating to Sacramento from the Coast where I have lived nearly all my life means I don't wear a jacket when it's 55 degrees outside. "Aren't you freezing?" someone will ask me, and I have always replied, "No, I'm a Coastal kinda gal." Coastal "Division" is far different from "Headquarters," as a work-related description, too!)

I think I have been adopted by the foothills.

I was a real CA girl. I also lived in Half Moon Bay for 8 years. Worked in San Jose. Driving home along 280 and seeing the marine fog "fingers" crawling down the hills was sooooo incredible. It was a real "Im going home" moment
