I didn't know hens could even have that problem... and I'm back. All of the lawns mowed, Grow out pens cleaned... got 10 eggs out of 15 today. Not bad, but not a fertile one in the bunch. No roos. Watered all of the grass... DIDN'T get the pool cleaned... perhaps next weekend. We are only a month away from swimming weather. It hit 84 today.
I've decided that the reason my HUGE SLW that I hatched from Kathy's eggs can't lay eggs is because she's stopped up in the behind. She'll get in the nest box and strain and strain but an egg never makes it out.
I've yet to see a hen survive that problem... and she is so beautiful.![]()
