My sweet Buff Orpington Roo died today

I have hatched so many of his babies and he was so gentle and handsome! I am going to miss him. The other roo in the pen beat him up it seems.

I have a lav orp roo named Herb and he is just soooo very sweet

I'm so excited. I get to meet Mary (NotAFarm) tomorrow. Why, you ask. Mary is kind enough to rehome 2 trios of her Icelandics to me. Thanks Mary.

That's right, Jim will be providing a new home to Mahonri's dream rooster, Dreki (and five others)! And, here is a picture of Dreki that I will be PMing to ChooksChick for the Flapper Contest which opens today.

Just got back from getting feed. Boy, who would think that feeding a bunch of chickens would cost more then feeding three horses! I need to get another metal 55 gal drum to hold it all.

Marking my spot and going to bed. We had 23 eggs today (from 27), an all time record!

We had 15 eggs from 19 (and 11 are pullets at POL) here yesterday, a record for our farm as well! Spring is in the air!

What a week!!! I have been very busy at work and not much time to be on BYC... I am caught up (I skimmed a lot!!)

If you posted a picture for the cutest baby picture and haven't pm'd me, please do so.. I will work on getting a page/poll up by the end of the weekend.. I'll leave it open for voting until Wednesday and announce the winner Wednesday night...

I'll accept entries until Sunday morning...
