Lost one of my gals last night in her sleep! Another hen has a respiratory infection and has been removed from the flock to ensure no one catches it from her as well as I don't hatch any of her eggs not that she is laying, but better safe then sorry. on the upside I had one more pullet lay her first egg this morning which make 5 out of 12 pullets laying now. In the bantam pen I got 8 eggs from my gals today out of the 12 I have in the coop. Production has definitely increased and I think it would be safe to assume that I will be able to fill a bator or two for the Hatch-a-long. Assuming they continue laying and don't go on strike.

If you really want to join but have no eggs to hatch, the easiest way to get some, is the fertile eggs from Trader Joes.....they do work...search it on the forum. I'm thinking about getting some to hatch along with my own eggs. Don't be afriad guys, it will be really fun

I just found out that my dad is in the hospital right now!!!!!!!

he's in a lot of pain in his back and stomach and he just had surgery on his knee on Friday.

We're getting snow tonight. I can only hope it all disappears by noon tomorrow.

Ordered more egg tonight for hatch. What am I doing???? I can only hope I can slip an order to two past my DH

If youw don't have an incubator make one. My first hatch was a satyr foam cooler with a fan from a junk computer. The directions are on my page.

My 6 year old helped me make it, it 's not very hard. Cost about $30 to get all the parts, i could have done it for less but I wasn't patient enough to find the junk I needed so I bought the parts I wanted.
