Mahonri's 3rd Annual, BYC Easter Hatch-a-long!

Finally caught up again. DS had a great birthday party today and then came home to find another showgirl hatched and chirping loudly. He was so excited they are his favorite, outside of the turkey eggs he is so anxiously waiting to arrive.

Here's today's new babies with the big chick guarding.

I will be happy to help anyone with hatching eggs if they are needed...I can get them shipped to them on the thirteenth making them get to you in time for the HATCH! our eggs will be EE's! We have a very beautiful (great personality!) Blue Rooster AM over multi colored EE hens most have muffs and beards, the roo we have while gorgeous is clean faced (thats why he is making EE's!), also included would be some pure AM eggs from one solid Blue female with big muffs! here are some pics of them. The price is 15.00 for 12+ eggs plus shipping.. which would be a total of about 30.00 for everything. please PM me if these are needed for your Easter Hatch! The AM girl lays very nice blue eggs. and all the EE's are laying anywhere from blue to green and brown...my one BR girl and Production red girl is on this flock also if you dont want those eggs just let me know! I know thier eggs from the ee girls eggs so this is not a problem...fertility is excellent with them! Here are the pics!

Geesh! 120 posts in 17 hours. I'm finally caught up.

Sorry about the cat loss.

So very happy about the emu's hatching Can't wait to find out if they are boys or girls.

Saw 9 patients this morning, picked up my neighbor friends and we headed for Snowflake.

Got gas for $3.59 a gallon in Payson.... a full 40cents cheaper than in Phoenix. What's up with that?

Stopped in Heber to see Boston and his chicken mansion. Love the pregnant goats and the Toms he got from Laree... and those Toms were very noisy!

I'm so jealous of Boston. I told him if things go south in Phoenix, I'm going to go up and camp out on his land in Heber. :0)

We stopped at the Red Onion and had a real nice lunch. Norman and I had steaks. DELISH!

We were in Snowflake by 3:30... wedding/(sealing) at 4PM and it was so AWESOME... and the Temple in Snowflake is so very beautiful
Here is a night shot with the moon in the background and a day shot.

We stopped for gas again in Payson, but the price had gone up 10 cents in just a few hours.

It was a nice ride home... Sunday dinner is ready to go into the oven... DS#4 peeled the potatoes, my Sunday School lesson is ready and I'm going to hit the sac.

OH, and Boston has one of the most uniquely colored Icelandic pullets the he hatched out for NYD... I hope he takes a pic of it and posts it.

I also saw the dangers of raising chickens in the cold country. Feet and combs don't fare well in the country where it freezes.

Nighty nite...

Oh and we are up to 198 participants... we just need to get a few more....

Mahonri the cheapest gas near me is $4.19! So not fair.

buckabucka I'm so sorry about your cat. She must have been well cared for and loved to have lives so long. Must be very hard for you.

Kathy I can't wait to see those chicks hatched. That's got to be so cool!

Tazcat! I need to see some chick pics!!!!

Gahhhhh I thought for sure by the time I got caught up that I would see a pic of an Emu chick....... Kathy...where are you? Did you fall asleep? Go to work? Pass out from exhaustion and stress?

I am on day 21 with my hatch and no pips yet... can't here cheaping either... definately feeling like a failure at this process.
