I'll never get caught up. I've had a really busy day. The yard had to be cut, the bator had to be cleaned, chicks, chickens, and a silly little duck to feed and water, a little bit of mechanic work (tool running for my brother), and then finding out that someone that might as well be my brother (very close family friend I grew up around) is getting out of standard sized games and plans on giving us all his hens. I just wanted to check in and laugh at my brother when he saw the mass amount of eggs everyone has. Well, I'm off to get a shower and go on a very rare outing with an old friend.

My fall yesterday morning really did a non-life-threatening number on me. Nothing broken but skin in two places; nasty scrape on left calf and a some bits of gravel imbedded into my left thumb. Right side muscle tenderness from the "trying NOT to fall" maneuvers. A colorful bruise developing under the calf scrape, along my left forearm and somehow on the .. well... left side of my butt. I did not go to work today.



The THIRD box of eggs is sitting at my UPS Store mail-box, 54 miles away. I will get it tomorrow and just set that box a day late. The other two boxes arrived yesterday, so I have those to finish resting and set tomorrow. Luckily I have several incubators!

Oh, Mahonri...

The hiatus the South Americans took for the last week (except a couple of eggs I shipped to someone...can't remember whom...) is apparently over. I can ship you some of the odd birds now! They are the ones with the quiet/weird/laughing not-a-crow. You can set them a tad late, right? Especially if you have room for a half-dozen in there...

I thought about posting pics of my 2nd and in a couple of spots, almost 3rd degree burns but I thought I'd save some of you from vomiting.

Silvadene now on it's way along with Clindamycin and more Vicodin. When the nurse saw it today she looked worried... mostly because of my last A1C.

Got to meet ca's husband. Real nice fellow.

Nah I'll pass this time, I put in a bunch of Switzerland Sulmtalers so I will actually have some stacked now!

I think it's cool that I have Swiss Eggs in the bator because I am 1/8 Swiss. Must be why I love all kinds of cheeses.

But Renee... maybe we can do a 'grab bag' of eggs next Easter Hatch too?... and you can add some more of the many exotic breeds you have going!

I actually saw a leprechaun this morning.... after enough vicodin, you can see all kinds of stuff.
