HOLY COW you guys have been a chatty bunch today!!! I have everything set except for my swap eggs from Chookschick... Guess I'll be having a staggered hatch afterall... They'll be here Monday... so I have about 10 dozen in so far... debating how many more to add with the ones from Renee...

I've got to at least add the icelandics laid by then right??? LOL

I feel left out since I didn't set any chicken eggs. Maybe I should throw a few of the last eggs my silkie's laid in the incubator, even though I'm not sure if they are fertile yet. My turkey eggs have been cooking for a week and I have 8 out of 8 babies in there I think.

12 Icelandic from NotAFarm, swap eggs
This turner is not plugged in yet, so the shipped eggs can heal!

And from my own birds

12 barnyard mix
This incubator is cooking and rocking!


And no, I didn't waste all that empty space. There are actually 11 serama that were set a week ago and not part of this hatch and 24+ lakenvelder I'm getting next week, also not part of this hatch. Darn good thing I bought that third incubator to use as a hatcher in staggered hatches.

Now, off to fill out my form.

BEAUTIFUL... But a little secret I've learned... you stack the egg that's next to the turner motor, because it's just TOO WARM there and the egg won't make it. I always leave that spot empty... (even though in my start pick I had one there.. It's since been moved and stacked)

Thank you for the tip. I will move her when I go to turn my eggs. I am leaving the turner off for a few days as I had some detached air cells in the shipped ones.

YAY!! We are finally set..

Also thank you and the wonderful ladies who put this massive event together. I am hooked.

I thought setting 24 eggs was a lot but geesh, I didn't realize most were setting so many eggs!

How do we update the total amount of eggs we set? The spreadsheet wouldn't allow me to make a change.
