Got eggs in lock down I have dark eggs or dull flashlight can't see thru olive egg or the sorted marans eggs. so I think 80 or 81 eggs in the 2 bators. Really hope my batams hatch. I'll be happy with 50%....
Happy hatching Testing the new Brinsea 20eco. stuffed with sorted marans eggs 24 cuckoo, Bcm, wheaten I think.
Off to feed the group of animals outside. Have a outside breeding mare to see if she can go home Hope I hope.
And feed straving chickens

P I really want a big incabator Like the Brinsea. any suggestions on which to buy?

That is a question I have too. Someone said they were incubating in a Dickey. Do you have the new one with the incubator trays on top and the hatching trays on the bottom? If so how is it working for you. Is it easy to work with the humidity at lock down? Finally, how does it compare to the GQF Sportsman Incubators?

I can't wait to hear.

No pips yet, but my leghorn X eggs are wobbling all over. Those are some healthy looking embryos, hope they hatch. Just got out the tubing I bought to tubefeed sick chickens and used a bit of it to add water to the styrobator. Still holding decent on temps (97 to 100.2) and 60% humidity, which is what I was shooting for. Brinsea is holding well of course.

Yowsa. I'd never hear the end of it if I bought one of those. I can explain away the hatching addiction with my two tiny incubators but if I have something that big? Yipes. And I DO have acreage and a nice big barn (but my hubby keeps trying to repurpose the barn into a music studio that he never uses LOL).

Well, it's Thursday which means I went with my parents to the feed store. They had Barred Rock and Gold sex links. I think they're over run with them. No RIRs yet again. Someone had already cleaned them out. Still no guinea keets. I really want some and has been dad approved.

Still no pips. Temps got up to 104 again. I don't hold much hope for the eggs, but you never know, they could surprise me.

I keep forgetting to say that I have a crippled chick from my last hatch. It's not growing as fast as the others, so I think it'll be staying in the brooder with the new chicks when they hatch. It needs some buddies that it can keep up with.

I'm off to clean the brooders. Here's hoping we can find something to do with older duckling that's taking up the rabbit cage brooder.
