I don't know if this is the right place to put this or not, but Lord willing I'm getting 16 chicks in the mail next week. Usually I get them straight from the hatchery (the hatchery is not far from me), and once from a feed store. But, this time around the hatchery is not doing pickup, but instead shipping chicks. My question is, will the post office just call me when the chicks get in? Is my phone number going to be on the chick's box? Is there anything else I should know, or am I just over complicating things?
Thanks!

They should call you when the chicks arrive. When I have ordered chicks, they put my phone number on the box, and I usually get the call around 8 to let me know they have arrived. I completely understand how you feel though! I was worried about this the first time I ordered chicks!
I worry anytime birds are shipped. Post office killed a whole shipment of birds I ordered, one one bird survived. Slow delivery.
