Mail order chicks with sores on their feet

Hi, I just opened up a box of my mail order chicks. They we're in the mail less than 24 hrs. They were supposed to be day olds but there were a couple older ones in the box. The box smelled horrid. There was a dead baby in the water bowl most of them had severe butt paste so I washed them all. I noticed several of them had sores on their feet. They are swedish flowery hens. Do you think it's disease? Help! Like an idiot I just threw them in with my ameraucanas I hatched out. Now I'm worried!

I would just clean them with mild soap and water.

and since some had pasty butt, keep a close eye on their poops.

What do I look for in stool? Should I give them some electrolytes now just as a precaution?

Their stools should be firm. If you have some electrolytes that might be a good idea.
